Privacy policy

Short version: the app collects nothing beyond the one-time key activation. When you buy, we keep only what's needed to send you your key.

The MonitorRest app

The app sends nothing anywhere: no telemetry, no crash reports, no update checks. The only exception is your Pro key: when you enter it (and if you click Deactivate), the app sends the key and an anonymous PC id to monitorrest.com, so that one key works on one PC. The PC id is a one-way hash made from your mainboard's ID; it can't be turned back into that ID and says nothing about you. We store, per key, the PC id it is active on, the date, and whether it was moved to a new PC through the move page. Like any visit to this site, Cloudflare sees your IP address then; we don't store it. After activation the app doesn't go online again. Its settings and trial dates stay on your PC (in %APPDATA%\MonitorRest and the Windows registry). It watches keyboard, mouse and gamepad activity only to know which screen is in use; it doesn't record or store what you type.

This website

No cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no fonts or scripts from other sites on a normal visit. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver and protect the site.

When you buy

• Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd, UK) runs the checkout as merchant of record. Paddle's script loads only when you click Buy. Paddle collects your payment and billing details under its own privacy policy. We never see card details.
• After payment, Paddle gives us your email address and order number. We use them only to send your key.
• We store: the order number, your key(s), the date, and a one-way keyed hash of your email address (so the lost key page can find your keys). We don't store the email address itself. This is kept on Cloudflare (D1 database) for as long as the license exists, so that you can get your key again.
• The key email is sent through Resend (Resend, Inc., USA), which processes your address to deliver it. Opens and clicks are not tracked.

Legal basis: performing the purchase contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b); KVKK Art. 5(2)(c)). Some providers above are outside your country, including the USA; they process data under their standard contractual safeguards.

Your rights

You can ask what we store about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to support@monitorrest.com. If we delete your order record, the lost key page can no longer find your key; the key itself keeps working. You may also complain to your data protection authority (in Türkiye: KVKK).
